No. The payment plan they proposed equalled the amount of the minimum payment due that I was already paying. It would have paid if off faster but that was not my problem at the time. I could not afford to make all of the payments. I found another job and paid off the credit cards without using them.
My sister did that for her credit cards, she moved all of them to another new card, the differnence was much lower interest rate. and it is locked in on that. It lower her payment and instead of serveral she only has one. no lawyer. I do not no what place she went with.
